Inexpensive Top-Of-The-Line Gaming Machine,

This review is from: ASUS G73JW-A1 Republic of Gamers 17.3-Inch Gaming Laptop (Black) (Personal Computers)
I was looking for a laptop to play WoW (World of Warcraft). I figured if it could handle that, anything else is a piece of cake. I had a 13" laptop previously. This 17.3" monster is not only powerful but pleasing to look at.

The wrist support area is soft and like a foam material that does not fingerprint, and I don't get sweaty from all day gaming sprees. The computer has always been cool to the touch, even just now I put my hand at the exhaust and is warm not hot as my previous computer. I used a laptop cool pad to maintain my temps before. This lays flat on the table and always has no problems.

The backlit keys have three brightness settings: Off, dim, brighter, brightest. You can turn just the key light off, or the lightbar (under the screen, blue) or all on, all off with a touch of a button above the keyboard.

There are five different display options to adjust color such as Theatre, soft, normal, gamma correction, and vivid mode, all from a touch of a button located above the keyboard (ROG logo)

The trackpad is a vast area for your fingers to wander as you play around on the web or around your computer. I have no complaints about this computer other than my friends keep stealing my mouse because they love it so much. The bag is roomy and fits all my devices and a bunch of extras just fine. I am planning on buying the 15" version after the new year. (Same specs btw.)

As I mentioned in th title, it is inexpensive. If you don't think $1700 is cheap consider this: I was comparing other gaming rigs, one rhymes with "Pony" and for the same specifications or less they are looking for $4000. Another gaming rig owned by a company that rhymes with "Smell" was offering a similar machine for $3900.

So it's easy...

i7 processor
1.5 Ghz DEDICATED video card NVIDIA
2- 500GB Seagate Momentus SATA (partitioned)
comes with 8GB ram, can handle 16GB!
Blu-Ray Read/Write
3- 2.0 USB
1- 3.0 USB
1 HDMI

Any Q's feel free. U comment, I get an email, I will respond.
